You do not need to be an elite athlete to see a Sport and Exercise Specialist!
We work to enable every individual to enjoy the benefits of physical activity in a safe and enjoyable way.
This may involve the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and injury from sport, work or accidents, as well as advice about medical conditions or symptoms that are common in active people.
There is strong evidence that physical activity aids in treating and preventing many medical conditions. Sport and Exercise Physicians can work with patients to make a personalised plan to optimise their health through activity.
Sport and Exercise Physicians have undergone specialised medical training, including working and traveling with elite athletes and at major sporting events in order to use this title.
